Using the Library

The North Tillamook Library, located in downtown Manzanita, has been providing residents and visitors with library materials, educational programs, and services for over 30 years.

Library Cards are free for all Tillamook County residents and property owners. You must apply for a library card in person and show proof of residency with a state issued ID, rental agreement or electric bill, or another proof of local address. Learn more about how to get a Library Card →


With a library card you can access Tillamook County member libraries, order books and videos online or from any branch library, use Hoopla to download e-resources, stream films on Kanopy, get information about classes at all library locations, and much more:

Free WiFi is always available in the Library or outside on our grounds.

You can access The Oregonian Newspaper on your computer! You can read the current issue in image layout from 2017 to today, or search the text articles dating back to 1987.

The North Tillamook Library in Manzanita is equipped with wireless printing! You can send documents right from your smartphone, tablet, or computer without needing to login to the library computers.

+ Browse Hoopla for Digital Media

Tillamook County Library cardholders have access to Hoopla Digital which features thousands of streaming movies, television shows, audiobooks, ebooks, comics, and full music albums. Hoopla Digital items are available instantly without waiting on a hold list, and can be streamed on most modern web browsers or downloaded to the app for use on the go. You can check out movies and TV shows for 3 days, Music albums for 7 days, and ebooks, audiobooks, and comics for 21 days. The service will be limited to 20 items checked out per person, per calendar month.

+ Stream Movies via Kanopy

Kanopy lets you check out and watch classic films right from your computer! Similar to Netflix, but full of classic cinema, indie films, and documentaries all for free with your library card. Check out 20 films per month, and keep each one for a total of 72 hours. Download the Kanopy app from your app store to get started, or go to the Kanopy website to sign up and watch from your computer.

The first time you use Kanopy, you'll need to register and create an account. You can use a google or facebook account, or add your name and email to create a new account. Once you've verified the email is correct by clicking the link they send you, you will need to enter a valid Tillamook Library card number and pin. Then you'll be on your way!
