The Library will be closed as indicated above to allow for leveling the floor, replacing the carpet, painting the interior, updating to energy efficient lighting and repurposing the Hoffman Room to allow for added programming and access to work on electronic devices.
Your donated books are the backbone of the Book Sales. Book Sales provide funding to support the maintenance of the Library building and grounds.
If you have books to donate for the Annual May Sale, please bring them to the Library before January 13, 2016 or after February 29, 2016. If that isn’t possible, the following options are available for your convenience.
For small donations (20 or fewer books), volunteers will be at the small house on Dorcas Lane directly behind the old Manzanita Fire Station on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays beginning January 16, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
For donations larger than 20 books, that cannot wait until the Library reopens, please call Michael Maginnis at 503-307-0809 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Michael will arrange a convenient time to pick up the books and deliver them to the sorting room.
