Library Services During Renovation

Library Services during the Renovation Every cloud has a silver lining and the North Tillamook Library remodeling closure beginning on January 13, 2016 is no exception. The silver lining lies in the fact that there are some options for library service during the closure.

1) The Tillamook County Bookmobile will be coming to our rescue every Saturday during the closure from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It will park in the parking lot and will be bringing everyone’s holds to Manzanita. So you can still request holds during this time period and pick them up on the Bookmobile on Saturdays.  You can also browse the Bookmobile’s collection and return your items on Saturdays.

2) You can visit the Bookmobile on its regular town stops in Nehalem or Wheeler on Tuesdays. The “book bus” pulls up to the Nehalem city parking lot on Highway 101 every Tuesday from 12:15 – 12:45. Or if Wheeler works better for you, drop in at our Wheeler Marina stop on Tuesdays from 1:40 – 2:20. (It is not determined at this time if your holds will be available those days or if Saturday is the only day we will have those holds available.)

3) You could decide to drive 12 miles from Manzanita to the Rockaway Beach library at 120 N Coral during the closure. They have an excellent selection of books, DVDs and all the library materials you receive at the North Tillamook Library.

4) Many services are always available on-line at tillabook.org.

Change is hard sometimes and waiting is even harder, but the library would like you to know it is going to be worth the wait. The improvements we are making will be amazing
